SPANK

Traditional therapy and life coaching, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and Personal Trainers are all outlets I have tried for my over eating and attitude issues. While I may have lost a few pounds, my attitude never got better. I’m stubborn, I need consequences for my negative actions to help me over come them. I know I’m not alone in this and there are many people out there just like me. I started doing my own research as to my last hope, something that would help me lose my weight and have a better attitude. The one type of therapy I hadn’t tried was spanking therapy. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try, as the spanking would provide consequences and so much more.

When many people hear the word “spanking” they automatically assume it is a type of BDSM. While yes, there can be spanking in the BDSM world; there are also a lot of other factors that go into it. According to the daily dot website BDSM stands for “Bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadism and masochism” (“Inside the wild and kinky world of BDSM.” 2017). The big thing about BDSM is how it deals with sexual activities and play. This is where BDSM differs from spanking therapy. Spanking therapy has nothing to do with sexual activities and isn’t a form of play.

According to the website of marieclaire.com Spanking Therapy is “When body chemistry changes in a rush of pleasure and adrenaline, and then comes back down to baseline and levels out, that trajectory can result in a very calm and zen-like feeling”(“7 Things You Didn’t Know About Spanking Therapy.” 2017). Whether you are seeking spanking therapy for discipline, stress-relief, or therapy in general, the end result is nearly the same. We all leave a spanking session feeling very calm. I personally, sleep my best nights after a long session.

For a spanking therapy session, the person doing the spanking (spanko) is fully clothed and very professional. They spank and only spank while lecturing (if it is discipline related) and nothing else. The person being spanked (spankee) most often has only their pants removed and possibly underwear lowered or pulled up being careful not to expose their private areas. As mentioned before, there is nothing sexual about spanking therapy.

I would hope that I as well as others can voice our opinions and make it known how spanking therapy differs from BDSM. On the spanktherapy website they explain that spanking is the “Ancient Art of Healing and was practiced some 1500 years ago in China”(“Spank Therapy.” N.d). I believe that by spreading this knowledge, it can become more popular and help more people in need without feeling ashamed.

For me, spanking therapy has been the best thing physically and emotionally. I researched so many people before I chose the one that I wanted. Most people did BDSM and spanking therapy, which was something I wasn’t quite comfortable with. I came across Miss Jennifer’s’ website and never looked back. She was one of the few that only spanked.
